Now TATA’s new EV will run 400 km in a single charge, will be launched soon with major changes

Tata Motors is working on an aggressive plan for electric vehicles and the company is going to bring 10 new electric vehicles in the Indian market by 2026. The Nexon EV with a longer range will be introduced soon.

New Delhi: Tata Motors is the first Indian automaker to introduce electric vehicles in the country and currently the company is selling Nexon EV and Tigor EV. Both these cars are economical in comparison, out of which the Nexon EV remains the best selling electric car in India. The current model of this electric SUV is powered by a 30.2 kWh-R lithium-ion battery pack that gives a range of 312 km on a single charge. However, it is being said that the Nexon EV can actually run for 180-200 km on a full charge due to traffic on the road and many other reasons. Now we tell you about the 2022 Tata Nexon EV.

Sales can be started by mid-2022

Tata Motors may soon launch a new model of the Nexon EV in the market with a longer range, whose sales can be started by the middle of 2022. With the new electric SUV, a 40 kW-R battery pack is going to be given, due to which the weight of the car can increase by about 100 kg, with the help of this new battery pack, now the Naxon Electric can be run up to 400 km on a full charge. In this case, its actual mileage on the road can be 300-320 km. Competing with this range, the Nexon EV will move closer to the range of Hyundai Kona and MG ZS EVs.

Selectable regenerative braking and electronic stability program

Other updates that the EV will receive include selectable regenerative braking and electronic stability programs. Mild regenerative braking has been provided in the current EV which cannot be adjusted by the user. Some cosmetic changes can also be given to this new EV, which will make the 2022 model look fresh, apart from this changes can also be seen in the cabin. With the new battery pack, the price of the car is expected to increase by Rs 3-4 lakh, although even after the increased price, the Nexon EV will be cheaper in comparison.

Starting ex-showroom price Rs 14.24 lakh

The starting ex-showroom price of the current model of the EV is Rs 14.24 lakh which goes up to Rs 16.85 lakh for the top model. Not only the Nirf Nexon EV, from 2022 to 2023, the company can launch many new electric vehicles in the Indian market, the next car can be the electric avatar of Tata Altroz. Tata Motors has made an aggressive plan for electric vehicles in which the company has already announced the launch of 10 new electric vehicles in the country by 2026. Recently, Tata has started a new subsidiary company to sell electric vehicles, on which a huge investment is going to be made in the next 5 years.
